Releases out of Keswick Reservoir are around 3,751 CFS as of this writing. Fishing has been good all week. The golden stones have been coming off for the past 10 days and the black rubber legs has been a good fly. The limited amount of dry fly fishing we had was awesome, but it has slowed down in the past week. The next ten days call for cloudy skies, some rain and cooler temperatures. Sound like good fishing weather to us. Please consider avoiding the spawning redds across from the Posse Grounds launch. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555

Fishing has been great. A few salmon flies coming off along the lower river. Bring a few salmon fly dries and search the edges of the river, near shade. A Parachute Adams in #12-14 can get a few fish to the surface. For nymphs, try #14-16 Amber Wing Princes, #18 Zebra Midges in black, #12 Copper Bead Birds Nests. The fish on the upper Sacramento are not all that selective at this time of year, so go forth and confidently fish nymphs for optimal results and reliability. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555

The water tempetature on the surface was 45.6 degrees, and after dropping a "Fish Hawk" probe down to 70 feet of water, the temp did not change a full degree. Most of the fish hit between 60 and 75 feet of water and seemed to be scattered throughout at different depths.   Rick Kennedy (530) 263-0990, (530) 623-4999
